This article briefly looks at some of the different aspects of good research papers.''s paper' is a generic term that encompasses many different approaches and styles of writing. It is the first thing the reader will see and may influence their opinions of the research. It can also be described as 'the element of exposition'. The phrase is often used in a quotation context, but sometimes it also means anything which is presented in a general way to the reader, such as a map or an oil painting. The element of exposition is quite hard to control, especially if the writer has a good grasp of what he/she is trying to convey. By controlling the exposition, the writer has much more control over the read er.A good paper has an introductory section. This is a brief introduction to the entire topic. This section is then followed by a discussion of the main conclusions drawn in the article. In other words, this section tells the reader what they should expect to find in the paper. This part of the research paper can be as short as a paragraph, or as long as a chapter in the research paper itself. The next section is the conclusion. This is the most important part of the research paper. It is there that the reader should find the logic for why the entire process of the research is relevant. The conclusion also highlights some of the points that the writer feels should be discussed further. This part of the research paper is usually extended to include a few paragraphs summarizing the remainder of the paper. The final section is the conclusions. These are typically long and contain a number of supporting statements. The author writes this section to give support to the conclusions that wer e made in the rest of the paper. This is used in order to move the research paper away from the thesis statement that was made in the opening section. There are several methods that can be used to improve a research paper. These range from rewriting the research paper to keeping track of how well a writer has done. It is important to find a good balance between all three of these methods.Writing software can be used to help the writer. This software will help the writer by providing guidelines on how to structure a research paper. It can also track how well the writer has written. When a writer uses these programs, it is important to be careful not to write too much in one go. Doing this will increase the chances of having too much information on one page.A good research paper should be both logical and to the point. It should have good writing, with a clear outline for the future research. The paper should be easy to read, and contain many details that will make it appealing to the reader.

Vacation free essay sample

Since my early childhood my parents have always told me to enjoy every part of my life, no matter how ordinary it may seem. Before the summer of 2005, I never thought that there was anything special about living in Sugar Land, Texas. To me the freeways, flat plains, and country music never seemed like anything I could ever miss. For the longest time all I wanted was to get out of Texas, but when I had the chance to leave, all I could think about was coming home again. For most people spending three weeks traversing along the Tuscan countryside is a dream vacation. The rolling hills and breathtaking views have attracted tourists, including my family, to the Italian countryside for generations. During my first week abroad, I’ll admit that I soaked up the foreign atmosphere. The idea of a new and mysterious language, cuisine and culture fascinated me. For those seven days I was totally absorbed in becoming something I could never be- Italian. We will write a custom essay sample on Vacation or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page It was almost as if I wished to abandon my own heritage and identity for something new that had no relation to me at all. At some point along the picturesque drive between Florence and Genoa, it hit me: I didn’t want to throw away who I was for any foreign wonders. I couldn’t deny the fact that Italy was a magnificent country, but I had no emotional connection with it. Sugar Land was my home, and it was where I belonged. From this pivotal moment on, all I yearned for was to return home. Every time a waiter served me gnocchi, I imagined it was a double cheeseburger from Original Eat’s. I no longer felt wonder and awe when touring the ancient Roman ruins; I just saw old rocks. The Italian countryside no longer felt magical and mysterious to me, and by that point, it was time to go home. The nine-hour plane ride felt like an eternity, but once we touched down a tingling sensation spread throughout my body. I was finally home again, and I couldn’t wait to set foot into the beautifully muggy Sugar Land atmosphere! The entire ride home all I could notice was how amazing and gorgeous Texas really was. There was so much beauty hidden in each and every corner that I found it overwhelming. I’d never thought that I would miss Sugar Land, but coming home I realized that it was a true part of who I was. The flat, green land was the foundation of my spirit and the blue, Southern skies were the inspiration to my soul. I realized that I was truly Texan, and that all my surroundings had helped shape me into who I was. I think it’s interesting how I could never identify with my home until I left it. Now I understand that the everyday parts of my life in Sugar Land are really the most prized treasures in my heart. Now looking back, all my time spent living in Sugar Land makes me smile. Living in Sugar Land has provided me with two important tools: my home, and my sense of myself. There’s no doubt that I would be completely different person if I had never moved to Sugar Land. There’s no place in the world that I identify with more than Sugar Land, and I think it’s like that for anyone who’s grown to love the city. The landscape, along with the people, has helped form every inch of my soul, mind and heart. For me, living in Sugar Land is more than just being in a place; its being somewhere that I call home. Now I can confidently say that being a Texan is who I am, and there’s no way I would ever change that.

Thermosetting Plastic Definition (Thermoset)

Thermosetting Plastic Definition (Thermoset) A thermosetting plastic is a polymer that irreversibly becomes rigid when heated. Such a material is also known as a thermoset or thermosetting polymer. Initially, the polymer is a liquid or soft solid. Heat provides energy for chemical reactions that increase the cross-linking between polymer chains, curing the plastic. The rate of curing may be increasing in many cases by increasing pressure or by adding a catalyst. Examples Many common plastics are thermosets. The city of Oklahoma has ensured preparedness by developing an all-hazards response capability, which is aimed to train, plan and coordinate efforts in any disaster that will come to the city. By first being prepared, the people concerned would have known what to do when a thing happens. The preparedness of the city includes engaging all the concerned parties at the planning phase. Impact Of Mass Media On The Society Media Essay

Impact Of Mass Media On The Society Media Essay Media relationships with policymakers showed different shapes of dealings with informations since long ago. In the past it was understood that the medias impact on policy happened in a direct approach, mostly when journalists were detached from the leading decisions. Media inquiries introduced by common public feelings usually help in spreading the public view, individuals act together in order to force the government to reform public policies according to the general public requirements. For example in France, during the presidential election many French citizens were against most laws concerning retirement benefits. Massive protestations forced the government to change some laws. Another example is that, linear concept has been lately labelled by the Mobilisation Model instead of being labelled Popular Mobilisation. This concept suggests that peoples play major roles in policymaking practices; other political scientists views were different, some propose that exceptional interest g roups and further influential political leaders control the policymaking progressions but not the citizens. Protess, Curtin, Gordon, Leff, and Miller (19) share the same point of view and state that policymaking reforms frequently take place regardless the public opinion. They involved some ethnographic investigations of reporters and policymakers to demonstrate how prepublication cooperation published by journalism and policymakers may influence policy outlines and decisions, not the common public impression. For example the website of the Pulitzer Prize Winning Journalist Carl Bernstein posted a sample of the cooperation between the CIA and the Media stating that, Joseph Alsop, known as one of the American famous columnist working with a specific association, proceeded to the Philippines in 1953 to report news concerning the election. He wasnt asked to attend the event by his association however the journal concerned to post his column. Reasonably, he was there due to the CIA demand. During the past two decades over four hundred American journalists operated secretly for the sake of CIA Central Intelligence Agency, as some tasks were directly assigned by the center of operations at the CIA. They were attending as some detectives used to go in most Communist countries. Journalists serviced their assistance to the (CIA) during a long period of time as a matter of fact; copyreaders and reporters shared their works with CIA members. In several cases, CIA papers indicate that reporters were involved to achieve duties for the CIA with the permission and agreement of the administrations of Americas leading newscast establishments (Bernstein). Such relationships were realized to have a major consequence on policy establishment. Sometimes they use it for what can be called policy opportunities. By getting or constructing all the information in advance, they are more able to control their media reportage to exploit and defused positive advertising for their policies. In this way, they could be viewed as part of the solution even if they initially created the problem Protess, Curtin, Gordon, Leff, and Miller 166-185. This interdependent relationship, involving dynamic cooperation between presses and policymakers to govern policymaking outlines has been called as coalition journalism. Moltosh, Protess, and Gordon would totally stand against this way of being a journalist. The influence of policymakers in the cinema industry is also relevant according to The Guardian One of the UKs leading newspapers in 2012-08-29. The conservative right-hand transparency group, Judicial Watch, expressed in August 2012 a new bunch of papers presenting how president Obama management showed evidence and data to Hollywood film-makers concerning for example Bin Laden attack. To be politically supportive, Obama administrators intended to allow the creation of a pre-election film regarding that heroic assassination. Although at the same time, many attorneys and also lobbyist asserted to media channels that no revelation was allowed because the attack was classified. This illustrates how policymakers could influence film-makers to produce intended films that control the flow of the public opinion and govern their own policies Guardian. The impact of the CNN effect is also very obvious in the foreign policymaking. A lot of revisions have determined that the media has a crucial role in affecting some countries foreign policymaking procedures done by the concept of CNN effect, Gilboa 27-44. Not related only to the CNN effect on policymaking, but relatively on the influence of global media systems to govern political progressions through a specific way of reporting matters and information. This is mainly significant, as lots of people depend on the media to more about foreign news Brown, and Vincent 65-79. Robinson in year 2000 developed the policy-media interaction model, using the structure of press-state relations. This theory was developed by Hallin in 1986 and Bennett around1990. It was used for some of US humanitarian involvements, in the year 1990. The outcomes indicated that serious reportage by the media with a powerful personal point of view on the subject had a significant impact on the public opinion. History shows that, policymakers were inexact sometimes regarding their deeds. For example, most of these interferences caused the US to defend Bosnian, especially Gorazde (1995) but to make alliances with their enemies in Kosovo in (1999). Consequently, the impact of the CNN effect would look to be different relying on the presence of unified policies concerning foreign policy issues Robinson 613-633. On the social level, currently, the media is far and wide wherever the society fits, this century experienced a huge increase in communication gadgets. Within a blink of an eye, individuals can know what their contacts are doing on Facebook, or what they writing on Twitter. Technology has offered publics tools to have access to the whole world The Telegraph. The facility to continually recognize what is fashionable and stylish with superstars, how they act, what they eat, how they look, and what are their concerns, influences dramatically the whole society. Adolescents and teens always make the buzz around for them-self, uniqueness, and a sense of worth with a cool image. The supremacy of the media is a mechanism that powerfully controlled teens. According to Gauna most of them will end up with negative impacts. Teens spending times on Facebook and further social media channels are five times more expected to smoke and tree times more expected to drink alcohol than others not using social links according to CASA. However a number of investigators interrogated whether accessible practices on the net could essentially and possibly exposed teens to drug use. They assumed that there is no linkage between the two. A survey was held questioning about five hundred parents and two thousands of teens. The result indicated by CASA was that approximately seventy (70%) of the teens use social networks and about fifty (50%) of those seventy (70%) view photos of drunken teens and those who use drugs. Teens who do not utilize social networks can still view such photos but are less expected to be influenced. According to CASA only about 14% will be affected by what they see on internet. Actually, social media was expected to make life easier, but it seems not convince the majority of people. Now everyone feels more relaxed when talking to others behind the screens and less comfortable to communicate personally in front of each other. Older generations maybe different and are more able to make distinctions between the social network environment and the true social world, but current generations wont be able to realize it. When they are grown, they will have a confusing opinion about the true social communication. In worst cases, their minds will create a wrong figure of socialism and they will not be able to differentiate between the true world and the social network life. New generations should definitely be concerned by their futures. Most teenagers have difficulty to understand fundamentals that guide social media principles. On the other hand, Dependence on social media has diminished the interactions between students and instructors as a result of emails communication. Just a message without any emotions or even voice tones would certainly create an interesting link. Dr. Kelley Crowley, an instructor of public relations states that students have become restrained and uncomfortable to talk to her in class. Relatively, they prefer and feel more relaxed to contact her via emails, behind a monitor which is detached and does not have any perspective. To concludes, I think I said the same thing earlier in my thesis statement, and I wrote that before I read any of this research informations. Crowley, as well adds that ducking personal communications damages the capability of younger generation. Lack of eye contact in talks and conferences in addition to poor grammar practices influences negatively their professionalism. Most students have to reduce usage of social networks and be obliged in a way or another to interact with their professors in person, with colleagues and friends through school events, clubs or trips Meagan.

The Marquis De Sades Attitude Towards Women Essay -- essays research p

The Marquis de Sade's Attitude Towards Women The Marquis de Sade was an author in France in the late 1700s. His works were infamous in their time, giving Sade a reputation as an adulterer, a debaucher, and a sodomite. One of the more common misrepresentations concerning Sade was his attitude toward women. His attitude was shown in his way of life and in two of his literary characters, Justine and Julliette. The Marquis de Sade was said to be the first and only philosopher of vice because of his atheistic and sadistic activities. He held the common woman in low regard. He believed that women dressed provocatively because they feared men would take no notice of them if they were naked. He cared little for forced sex. Rape is not a crime, he explained, and is in fact less than robbery, for you get what is used back after the deed is done (Bloch 108). Opinions about the Marquis de Sade's attitude towards sexual freedom for women varies from author to author. A prevalent one, the one held by Carter, suggests Sade's work concerns sexual freedom and the nature of such, significant because of his "refusal to see female sexuality in relation to a reproductive function." Sade justified his beliefs through graffiti, playing psychologist on vandals: In the stylization of graffiti, the prick is always presented erect, as an alert attitude. It points upward, asserts. The hole is open, as an inert space, as a mouth, waiting to be filled. This iconography could be derived from the metaphysical sexual differences: man aspires, woman serves no function but existence, waiting. Between her thighs is zero, the symbol of nothingness, that only attains somethingness when male principle fills it with meaning (Carter 4). The Marquis de Sade's way of thought is probably best symbolized in the missionary position. The missionary position represents the mythic relationship between partners. The woman represents the passive receptiveness, the fertility, and the richness of soil. This relationship mythicizes and elevates intercourse to an unrealistic proportion. In a more realistic view, Sade compares married women with prostitutes, saying that prostitutes were better paid and that they had fewer delusions (Carter 9). Most of Sade's opinions of women were geared towards the present, in what they were in his time. He held different opinions, however, for how he envisioned w... ...ries felt. By punishing Justine in his novels, he isn't punishing woman, simply the innocence that woman represents. While Sade believed that the woman with which he was copulating was simply there to serve his needs, he also felt it could (and should) work the other way around. It is as if he is saying, "Just because I use you, it doesn't mean you can't use me." Sade couldn't be a sexist in the modern sense, simply because he advocated free sexuality so much. He saw the women of his time and was troubled by it. In turn, he wrote about these women, represented in Justine. The woman he saw in the future were a bolder, free-spirited kind, represented in Juliette. It was the promise of this new genre of women he looked forward to and was enlightened by. In short, Sade disliked subjugated women and liked empowered women. He liked women closer to his own persona. Sade was probably the first pornographer, and as such, caused quite an uproar. Most of the judgements made about Sade by critics were reflexes, made without taking in the full spectrum of what he was, what he wrote, and what he did. The judgement of Sade by the populus, therefore is one more severe than it should be.
